HAVE: Fresh Larkspur 'Earl Grey', California Poppies, etc.
Comments (12)Hello. I live in MD. I would love to trade for some larkspur seeds, and your feverfew. I am new to garden web but I do have some things to trade. I have been going around to everyones yards and asking if I can pick their seeds. lol I have fresh hollyhock seeds mostly shades of pink, purple and one peach one, but they did self pollinate so who knows what color they may be. They were 7 ft tall and stunning. I have a type of feverfew, I think it was virgo or alba it is all white, little button type. And also a strange looking one with a big yellow center and individual white leaves. My neighbor has some four oclocks growing and said that I could take as many seeds when they are ready as I would like. They are hot pink and yellow with a pink line. In the fall if you wanted I could give you some starts of forget me nots, I let mine go to seed and now I have tons of baby plants. They are very pretty in the spring. I have some foxglove seed that I am collecting from my few digitalis. This was the first year , some I planted from seed and a couple others I bought as plants. I also will have soon hyacinth beans. They are so beautiful and easy to grow. Seeds aren't ready yet. We live so close we should trade plants too. I live near Baltimore. Let me know. Happy gardening. Comments (6)Adding black to white will give you gray. This is different than mixing colors trying to get black or gray. Ask your paint store guy. But if you feel too timid to try this then check out the rooms in the link below. When you click on the photo it will tell you the brand and name of the paint they used. Keep in mind that putting a tiny bit of color sample against the gold wall will affect the way you view it. Try putting the gray paint in the middle of a large white board leaving white edges and then placing the board in different spots around the room to see how you like it with different light hitting it. Comments (11)Thanks---yep, we've played with their site, which is definitely very cool. Found unfortunately that it's not a great representation of the actual colors with the monitor oddities, even after adjusting the calibration, though. Ah, well. I got stuck because I like the gray-green combos fine on screen, but when we started pulling the chips they didn't look at all the same...argh! The guy at our local BM dealer said the same about the historical colors, interestingly---he thinks they're richer. We like a couple of the HC grays (Edgecomb + Stonington) but haven't had much luck with greens there---they seem more muted. (So far the front runners there are Pear Green, Wales Green, and maybe Potpourri Green from the Color Preview line.)...See MoreCan I use Sw Mindful Gray and Repose Gray together?
Comments (3)I know this was a month ago but wanted to share my experience. I had mindful gray throughout my downstairs except on an accent wall. Because I have a charcoal sectional, I felt that mindful gray was just too dark for me so I repainted in repose gray. Both are muddy colors in my house depending on the time of day. Usually mornings, they are a nice crisp neutral gray but by evening, they are more taupe gray. On the second part of my stairway it’s mindful gray on both sides and I don’t feel it’s too dark but i still want to eventually lighten it to repose as well. The bottom of the stairs you can see where i didn’t finish painting. One wall is mindful the other is repose. Here’s a pic of my wall with two different shades. Excuse the horrible pic. It’s my iPad. if you’ve already painted, would love to see what you chose. Happy holidays!...See MoreOutsidePlaying
