Plywood subfloor in basement - what to put under?

We are building a plywood subfloor in our basement to installed engineered hardwood on. It has been moisture tested and it is a very dry basement (walkout, mostly above grade). We have 6 mil poly under the slab but no rigid foam. Our contractor suggested putting another layer of 6 mil poly with the plywood subfloor over it. Would it be better to use 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch rigid foam insulation or a polyethylene dimpled subfloor product rather than the poly? Thank you!
