arc fault breaker test button not working

I was changing a light switch today and accidentally created a arc for a second. After that everything worked fine. This circuit has a arc fault breaker and I was curious why the breaker did not trip.So I pressed the test button on the breaker and nothing happens, the other two arc fault breakers in the panel trip when you press the test button. So I called the electrician and made arrangements to get the breaker replaced. This got me wondering these breakers have two functions, detecting a arc fault and overload protection. Because my arc fault function is not working does that mean the overload function is probably still working? Just curious, Thanks
