Comments (21)I have to disagree with those who say that the curb appeal is fine. While the home is lovely, the beds look more like a gaudy antique brooch pinned on contemporary dress. most of the palms seem like they could be worked with, but the hedging, miscellaneous plants and bed lines themselves could use improvement. And in the overall picture, there seems to be a lot of "vacancy" about the yard ... probably on account of lacking street trees at minimum. The piers flanking the drive seem like pieces of an entrance ensemble ... but everything else is missing. As others have mentioned, not much can be submitted in regard to constructive criticism on account of the pictures lacking. Some tips for when you post other pictures ... they should be complete scenes taken from appropriate distances away. For the foundation planting, since it is a large house, you'll need two separate scenes. For the right side, I'd position the camera at the right edge of drive, even with the garage front wall. Pan the camera taking overlapping scenes which include the front of house all the way to the neighbor's house. It is important to keep the camera at the same position for all pictures of the scene. For the left side of house, I'd position the camera in line with the center of the garage front face, about 25' from it. Again, take overlapping shots that pan from neighbor's house to the right side of your house, all from the same camera position....See MoreLooking for some curb appeal, design ideas needed!
