Comments (2)In your area, I would recommend a price comparison on the TrustGard Window. They make great windows for the eastern section of the country. You should also compare Super Spacer in the TrustGard with the metal spacer commonly used by those you mentioned. Comments (71)Ordered windows in October of 2021. Windows are still nowhere to be seen. After putting deposit down in October, I was contacted the next day in an attempt to collect another 1000$ because the price they quoted me and I’d already paid for didn’t look good to them anymore. I was told 8 weeks for delivery. I’ve called every month since December and im always told they will look into it. If im lucky enough to get a call back, im just kicked down the road a month and never given a reason why. I’ve called corporate, been told someone would reach out to me today. They never do. The customer service there apparently doesn’t believe in “customers “ as they are only allowed to talk to businesses. The level of rudeness by the woman I spoke with today was astounding. In no way was she trying to solve anything other than talking over me, cutting me off and arguing. My contractor has long since moved on and I’ve spent 20 weeks living in a house with borded up windows and no sunlight because windows were removed in preparation for the windows being in on time. When I call the local office in Portland Maine now, im literally laughed at on the phone and just given a date a month out. I’ve loss thousands in heating bills, my contractor is gone, I’ll need to find another one to install if my windows ever appear. Hopefully someone who actually cares about the company name sees this and reaches out. At this point, my next stop is the Better Buisness Bureau and every window review site on the internet until I’m finally noticed....See MoreWOULD LIKE ADVICE ON ALSIDE MODEL 3001 WINDOW
Comments (3)Thanks for the replies. The contractor is listing in their work-order to the insurance com[any the following for the window replacement: "Remove vinyl window - double hung, 9-12 sq. ft. - High grade---$20.33, Vinyl window - double hung, 9-12 sq. ft. - High grade---291.70, Add on for "Low E" glass---$20.52". These are standard house windows, by this I mean nothing fancy, the house was built in 1968 and about 10 years a go I replaced the original double hung windows with high end vinyl windows. When I mention high end I paid more for a better window than say a Home Depot standard window because I was saving on labor by installing them myself. Yes, we own the home and I hope I don't have to get into a "strong objection" with the contractor but if need be I can and will. We still have to sign off on the final $15K payment to them. I look forward for any guidance thanks. Jack...See MoreAlside Casement Windows
Comments (15)are the wood rot issues that some folks have on here truly representative of most ultimate windows, or as long as they are properly installed we should not have those problems? Is it safe to expect the ultimates to last 30 years or so, or will we be replacing them shortly after the warranty expires/what is an average lifespan? What would the same questions be for the all-ultrex integrity? Is the attraction to the ultimate windows just the premium attraction? For what we are looking for (minimalist/contemporary, no SDLs or grids, unobstructed view) I am having a really hard time noticing any differences between the white-interior integrity and white-painted ultimates. If we went with the ultimates, to hit a price point within our budget we would have to go bare wood and uncharge to the wood screens, at which point i'd feel inclined to have our trim stripped of paint and everything stained... which is something we weren't initially considering. Thanks again for all of your input! It is greatly appreciated....See Morenumbersjunkie
