opinions on Soft-lite and Alside windows
Comments (2)In your area, I would recommend a price comparison on the TrustGard Window. They make great windows for the eastern section of the country. You should also compare Super Spacer in the TrustGard with the metal spacer commonly used by those you mentioned. Comments (1)you may want to look at some other brands. Harvey Slimline is a budget window and the Harvey Classic is average at best. Alside is cheap for a reason; cheaply made and poorly designed. why spend "less money" on alside and then spend alot more in a few years to replace your poor designed Alside excalibur windows. just my opinion. some brands that are known to be high quality are Okna, Gorell, Polaris, Sunrise, and soft lite....See MoreLooking for any feedback on Sunrise and Alside windows. Comments (11)Thank you for that clarification. Are there pricing ranges available on Sunrise, a per window cost? We are looking at casement windows. I saw $700/window quoted as being the high end of the range. I assume casement window pricing is per individual glass?...See MoreAlside Casement Windows
Comments (15)are the wood rot issues that some folks have on here truly representative of most ultimate windows, or as long as they are properly installed we should not have those problems? Is it safe to expect the ultimates to last 30 years or so, or will we be replacing them shortly after the warranty expires/what is an average lifespan? What would the same questions be for the all-ultrex integrity? Is the attraction to the ultimate windows just the premium attraction? For what we are looking for (minimalist/contemporary, no SDLs or grids, unobstructed view) I am having a really hard time noticing any differences between the white-interior integrity and white-painted ultimates. If we went with the ultimates, to hit a price point within our budget we would have to go bare wood and uncharge to the wood screens, at which point i'd feel inclined to have our trim stripped of paint and everything stained... which is something we weren't initially considering. Thanks again for all of your input! It is greatly appreciated....See Morewebsnooper
