Maybe this is a good day for ole joyful's brief update

on his briefs.

The concern, as earlier expressed, isn't about the kind of underwear that hangs, as, so long as the shoulders endure, it pretty well takes care of itself: keeps itself hung over, so to speak.

The issue relates to the kind that isn't, like some people, self-supporting. And it seems that the main issue relating to adequacy, like income for some, is the ability to arrange for, or, more accurately, to deal with, elasticity.

Firstly, in my case, one of the elastic belts that I made a few years ago used a piece of (rather narrow) elastic that was too short, so I folded a short piece of regular cloth a few times and sewed it into the gap. Now that that girdle's enthusiasm has slackened off a bit, (somewhat more than a bit, actually, as its ability to keep the thing in its proper place has become so lacking that a recovery is too often required) I figure that it may add some to its useful life if I remove the folded cloth and just sew the ends of the elastic together.

The girdles with wider elastic seem to have been substantially more durable in terms of getting/keeping the job done.

However ... the bold new message is that ole joyful visited the discount mill store the other day ...

... and bought two pair of new undies - of the variety that needs an elastic to continue to provide adequate coverage of the need, that is!!

Just thought that, on a day such as this, you long-time friends would like to know.

ole joyfuelled ... who isn't dealing with an election today
