Comments (5)I've got Aegopodium (we call it Bishop's weed) and it's beautiful...if you like the woodland natural look. I grows on runners and does fill in and multiply...I'm zone 5. It all dies back in the winter. Within the last week, mine little plants have poked thru...and I've got 3 x's more than last year. I have them rambling around my iris bed right now, but plan to move them out to plant around trees near the woods. They do very well in the shade or sun. They are much more lush when the soil is moist and the sun isn't directly on them. I'll have them forever now, which is ok with me, because I've got lots of areas to plant. The variegated leaves catch the light just right as the sun goes down. They almost glow in the moonlight....and I'll have them "forever"....so, wintergreen may be a better choice for your area...lol Would anyone like to trade for some "Bishop's Weed"?...See MoreAutumn foliage that can hold until spring?
Comments (19)You sure are right about that editing need. GardenWeb is one of the rare ones that does not have the edit feature in addition to the preview. I allow a 60 minute window of opportunity for changes to be made, and may consider 120. Some like the lawn site allow just 10 minutes or so, which is barely enough if an after-thought arrives. One or two arborist sites have near unlimited edit time - like days. That can tend to cause confusion if other users quote someone prior to editing....See MoreLet's see photos of hydrangea foliage in autumn!
Comments (18)I do the same as hc mcdole to post photos. My phone (an iphone) uses the same cable to charge as to hook into my computer (Mac) via the USB port. When I plug it in, iPhoto automatically opens and starts the download process. In iPhoto I can crop the photo or turn it so that it is upright before posting. A couple of other options exist that should work with any smartphone. You can post directly from the phone by using the phone's browser (which I hate doing since the screen is so tiny!) and navigating to the GW page you want to post to, and then selecting the photo icon below the box where you post and navigating to where the photo is stored on your phone. OR you can email the photo to yourself, download the photo from the email, and then post from your computer. Within the phone's file of photos, if you click on a particular photo, there should be an option (you might have to touch the photo to make the option visible) to transfer the photo elsewhere (Facebook, email, etc.) and you can just follow the screen prompts....See MoreBushy rose with nice foliage that produces decent cut flowers -IN indi
Comments (6)What zone are you? I think the Kordes roses would work well, I love Wedding Bells, I would also recommend Peter Kukielski's book 'Roses Without Chemicals', my library carries it, perhaps yours does too. Beautiful photos & good info. Good luck....See Morectgardenguy (Zone 6)
