first of all:

1.3 inches of rain for me last night. The BEST
part of this rain is: hardly any
moisture under the house this time!!!!. The diverter drain pipe I put
on
the two down spouts at the back of the house carried the water away just
fine. There are still a couple of places where some water seeps in,
but I
knew about that possibility. Guess, I have my work cut out for me... as
soon as I can, I will dig a drench, and pop those pipes in, and won't
have to step over them any longer when going in to the back yard.

I am glad it rained, and even more glad my foot isn't so bad anymore, and I could crawl all around under my house.

Love a good rain, when I need it. :)

But
my arms sure are sore, and rubbed a bit raw in a couple of spots, from
my wrists to and including my elbows. Crawling military style on the
dry cracked hard soil was more painful than last time under there, on
the damp/wet soil. My clothes aren't mud caked!

Part 2:

The
doc said, sorry, still a little piece in the foot, after he looked at
the x-ray. It is very near the toes. He wants me to let it finish
healing up. His words, lots of people have foreign objects someplace in
their body, without problems.

If it would cause me problems in the long run, I need a full fledged operation to get it out.

So, meanwhile, I can use the foot sparingly, as long as the wound doesn't break back open.

I can "almost" walk regular as long as I wear a shoe/sandal that is soft and cushy. Barefoot is still out of the question.

Oh, and there is a part 3:

the
heat and air guys finally started working on my house. They were up in
the attic most of yesterday, building a platform for the new unit, removing old ducts and stuff, and
will be back today and tomorrow to finish the installation.

I am
getting all new ducts, everything in the attic. The return air ducts
below the house are going to be ignored (I don't want to pay for the
removal) and shut off at the old furnace area.

The
only old thing being used again is the registers in the walls. This along
with keeping the old AC unit for now cuts costs. Eventually when I need
it, I will have them replace the old AC unit.

Things are looking up. Painting is next. Not sure yet, where I will start... prolly in my bedroom. That's it for news from OKC.... Moni
