Comments (13)Wow, what scrumptious sounding meals! Shirley, so nice to hear from you; I hope that you're doing well. I'm a fan of cabbage myself, no matter how it's prepared, including raw. That stuffed cabbage sounds good, I may have to dig out my recipe and make a batch before hot weather gets here. Your chicken sounds good, jazzy. Aren't you glad that you had some leftovers? Texas Gem, I haven't had a taco salad in years, but I used to eat them all the time. And loved them. What a great combination of flavors and textures! Comments (21)I made two skillet tamale pies--masa cornbread layer (with corn and diced chilies), with layers of diced tomatoes, black beans, ground beef, and cheese. We had a big breakfast today, restaurant, family, combination celebrating our young (17) guest here from overseas and a SILs birthday. We normally don't eat breakfast, it happened to be the time of day everyone was free not busy. I have oysters here a friend dropped off last night. Comments (18)Had Mexican train here tonight. We played earlier than usual (6:00 pm.) so I had some pumpkin, butternut squash, sweet potato soup that i made on Saturday (not really for Mexican train, but just a recipe I wanted to try) I served that in demitasse cups, had pigs-in-a-blanket, queso dip, salsa and chips.
