Trees of Mystery is a roadside attraction in Klamath, California 36 miles south of the Oregon border. Trees of Mystery is best known for the 49-foot-tall statue of Paul Bunyan and the 35-foot-tall Babe the Blue Ox, both of which are visible from Highway 101. Look closely and you can see DH sitting on P.B. 's foot holding our dog with DS standing beside him.

I'm not bragging about a pillow, LOL. Smudge our 15-yr-old Maine Coon, has in the past few months started dragging this pillow off the couch and leaving it in the hallway or the bedroom. He does this every night as soon as we're in bed, and often when we go out. He sings as he's doing it. LOL. It's at least a foot square and I have 'caught' him. He bites the corner and trots down the hall with it beside him. This is from this morning, beside the bed.

Those berries are from Proven Winners, Amethyst™ Coral Berry Symphoricarpos x doorenbosii. Picture was taken yesterday and it is nice used in arrangements.

Earlier this summer I brought home a section of Soloman's Seal from a friend's garden because I love the leaves. I potted it in a pot out on the balcony. The first thing Bud did when he went out on the balcony was go over and start chewing the leaves. Since I read they're poisonous, out it went. The plant, not Bud. ;-)

I always love the beautiful photos that are shared in this daily thread but don't often take the time to say thank you. I come here almost every morning to see this thread!

Exclamation point alert, I use and mean them :-)

I love the fall leaves and themes in Casey's offering of the day. Those colors make me happy!

Schoolhouse, I absolutely love this scene! Are you fortunate enough to live life looking out that window? I hope so.

imgd, I always admire those with the still patience to work jigsaw puzzles. I wish that I took the time to quietly sit and work a lovely puzzle.

Murraysmom, where did you get that squirrel jack-o-lantern carver? I bet he's handy to have around! :-)

Is that the normal Solomons Seal foliage color? I like it and have heard of it but haven't grown it yet.

We had our first snow of the season the other day. Today I was out raking leaves in shirt sleeves. Go figure.

PXPonder, the photo was taken inside the barn/garden shed, looking out the window to the corn field beyond. Only that year it looks like there probably were soy beans in that field, not corn. I also have curtains up now too. It's my hide-away from the phone and computer, to take breaks from yard work, and to have tea on nice days.

PKponder, that industrious little squirrel did that work a couple of years ago. I could really use him right now because I have two pumpkins that need carving by tomorrow!!

That is the normal fall coloring for Solomon Seal. From spring until fall it is a bright green with some white striping. It is the tall group of plants on the far left side of this picture. It spreads too. All of this is from one little plant. I've even ripped some of it out in an effort to contain it. :)
