Sliding Shower Door Advice
Comments (5)We put sliding doors on our kids' bathtub many years ago. I know they have improved in over the past 30 years, but I still hate them. I'll take a curved shower curtain anytime over those doors. Many hotels/motels that don't have walk in showers, have switched to the curved rods, and I am always happy to see those. You have to be inside the tub to clean them, and they restrict your elbow room to the size of the tub. Very confining. And they make it awkward for older people to climb into with that restricted opening as we discovered last year when we had to use that bathroom while our master bath was being remodeled. As our sons grew, taller, the shower water bounced off their bods over the top of the glass. Tough to bathe grandkids too in there with the doors. -Babka...See MoreAmerican Universal shiny hex tile for bathroom floor?

Comments (4)hhireno- Thanks for the advice. You made me feel better. :)I did ask my tile guy about a discount and he said no. I tried though! That is great advice to think of it as making the master special to set it apart. Thanks! My master vanities are on peg feet with a special molding on the ends, and my powder vanity is very furniture like. I wish I knew how to insert a pic here so you could see. I will include my link to snapfish so you can see my album. It's a lot of pics to wade through -- the cabinets are down at the end. pattycakes- (love your user name)I will have crema marfil just on my counter top - the floor will be a ceramic tile that just coordinates well. Your house sounds gorgeous with the black granite and crema marfil! bigdoglover- You are right that not everyone would love this look and it could very well scare off potential buyers. I plan to live in this house for a looongggg time. But you never know what can happen so resale is always at the back of my mind during the build. That being said, now I am afraid of my mosaic plan!! Here is a link that might be useful: cabinets...See MoreNo kitchen pics yet but I have bath pics/grout ?
Comments (7)I say seal it for sure. The travertine will get a nice low sheen from the sealer (& a touch darker)and it really does help with cleaning it, especially the grout. things bead up on it. I've found sanded grout stained so easily. I cant think of a reason why you wouldn't seal it ... others?...See More
