Comments (10)The leaves makes me believe that it is butternut squash. Often, they will put out lots and lots of blossoms before a squash will form. Once the squash forms, it will take at least four weeks for something decent to develop. At this time of year, you probably won't get anything. Keep in mind that butternut seeds are easy to germinate. If you have a squash (any winter squash will do), rinse the seeds, let them dry and store them over the winter in a dry place. 9 years agoNone of my orchids are blooming right now, so I'll just recall those from Longwood Gardens. Orchids are by far my favorite flower for so many reasons.
