My neighbor took me out on a boat ride the other day on Lake Whitehurst (the lake that adjoins our back yard). It's much bigger just around the bend. :)

He was busy chomping something bloody in the woods, probably the only reason I got close to him.

Looks like a red tailed hawk?

Vetaal, it might be a Red Tail Hawk. Here is what a juvenile Red Tail looks like. This one came and spent over an hour sitting in the bush right outside our office entrance. (S)he is standing on a bunny.
