Looks like you have it thought out. I would suggest picking your roof color before you pick your paint color. Paint color is much easier to change over the years. Personally, I would pick a very neutral shade such as grey or black (like you suggested). This way you have many other color options for the color of your home as time goes on. You can find a beige/grey to soften the red in your brick. Versus a cooler grey (Wow that looks really blue next to the top one- but when by themselves, they both look more grey) It will be nice to see how your roof impacts the look of your home over the course of the year and throughout the different seasons. I am not sure where you are located but a north facing home, in the northern US, a grey will take on more of those blue tones. Yes, I would make those attic vents blend in. I am not sure that I helped any. Good Luck!

We have Kilim Beige in our basement. We love it. As I recall, the BM salesperson said that Kilim Beige was their number one selling color.

Who knows? But if you click on the photo, you see the entire area. The teal is very pretty and works well with your rug and other textiles. Maybe find another pillow/rug/curtain fabric with teal, almond and a third color for the adjoining room work from there. As others have stated, the color on the walls doesn't exist in a vacuum--you need a comprehensive plan for the space. The wall paint is merely one piece of the puzzle.

It could literally just be a light issue. And since they are brand spankin' new, you're noticing it. Light hits lowers different than uppers and the color appearance difference can feel dramatic. If that's what it is, it's normal. The good news is the color constancy function in your brain will kick in in about another week. Over time, the difference you see so pronounced right now will change; sooner than later you won't even think about it any more. The only way to know for sure if uppers are different from lowers is to measure the color. IMO every cabinet maker should own a Spectro 1 Pro for this exact situation. Homeowners can get a more affordable (altho less powerful) Color Muse device from Amazon and measure the colors themselves. The Bluetooth app(s) for these devices are easy to use to measure and compare the color of uppers vs. lowers. They display color difference in terms of Delta E. Again, all within the app and easy to do. A more extreme option is to take doors or drawers to a local professional paint store and ask them to measure the colors and verify that it is indeed the same color.
