stainless steel fridge streak line?
Comments (49)Was searching for help on how to remove a streak like this ( see attached) on my Kitchen aid Refrigerator. I’ve only tried SS cleaners. Obviously, it did nothing. I don’t even know what caused this. I’ve read several posts who recommend Barkeepers. Are you using the powder or liquid? I’m scared it will scratch the SS. I understand you must rub with the grain, but, seriously, will it remove this kind of streak? Help!...See MoreStainless steel panels to fix black fridge?
Comments (6)Yeah, GE sells the side panels that fit certain models of their fridges. They are about $500 each. That makes it equivalent of just buying the models that are already stainless wrapped, which are usually 1K over the non stainless wrapped model. Slow down and don't plan on too many changes to a house that you just moved into. Live with it a while before you start putting money and energy into making things different. You don't want to waste money on doing such a temporary cobbled together look. Stainless isn't the be-all end-all of the appliance world, and if you'll read the thousands of posts complaining about it, you might decide that black is OK too. It has it's problems, as do all appliance colors, so wait until you have enough experience and knowledge base of that particular house to pick your poison to remedy....See MoreSide by Side Stainless Steel Fridge
Comments (7)Hi--my Samsung side by side (26 cuft) arrived today. It was the best looking of the bunch in my opinion, but also gets great reviews from consumers...and its design sets itself apart from many of the other choices in the field you're looking at. It replaced a 15 yo kenmore side by side ...Like you, I much prefer the side by side style. Lowes, Sears and many others just started carrying more Samsung models these last few months. Oh, and the price was very competetive....See MoreGE Cafe matte white or black fridge next to stainless steel wall oven
Comments (12)We ended up delaying our project, but plan to get two individual wall units (oven and microwave) in matte white and stack them. It's quite a bit more pricey, but it also seems the individual units have better features than the combo. We're also beginning to lean more towards cabinets that have a little color, maybe green or blue. Cabinets that aren't white/grey will probably enhance the look of the matte white finish (we got the Fridge and Dishwasher in matte white already)....See MoreAnglophilia
