Costs vary widely by region as well as when the remodel was done (recently vs years ago), so just seeing pictures with $$$ in an otherwise vacuum of information will not be useful for you.

Other considerations: Materials used, Scope of remodel, Time of year, How busy contractors are, etc.

Are you a diy? That will gelp hold costs down as will not moving the plumbing or electrical or any walls or windows or doors…

We are DIYing our kitchen (almost done) and it will end up costing in the high $30's. That includes all new appliances for which we had a decent budget ($11,000).

The cabinets were $12K total and they are from Ikea (4K) with custom fronts from Scherr's (8K). Our granite was a great deal at $4200 for 66sf.

We definitely could have done the kitchen for less money if we needed to do so. We splurged on the sink, faucet and lots of lighting including drawer lights. Our backsplash is going to be a lot because we are covering almost 100sf. We wasted money by making some mistakes and redoing things because we are perfectionists.

I don't have any pictures to share, but if you click on my name you can find some recent posts of mine where I have some pictures of details. One of my first posts shows the layout in 3D so you can see the cabinets that we bought.

I agree with buehl that there are many factors that affect the price. But since you are DIYing that does remove one of the biggest random factors in the budget.

We're hiring the electric, Sheetrock and floor install done. Everything else will be us. Hopefully. We're probably looking at around $30k. Cabinets look to be around $11k. We're budgeting $4k for electric and hoping it's enough. $1800 floor, IKEA butcherblock counters. $6-8k appliances. I'm trying to convince my husband that the new dining table doesn't count toward the total. :D

This is a completely DIY kitchen in a DIY new home. I even built the cabinets from scratch. Total cost was about $8K with 'standard' appliances. Not many people will go to this extreme, but it does show what a determined amateur (in his 60's) can do.

if you search nightowl's kitchen 2016 - I broke out our costs. 60K for everything minus the appliances, hood, sinks, and faucets (which totaled right at 20K). Sometimes I think we paid too much, and sometimes too little. I live in a pricey area, so all work has an added "zip code" mark up .... We learned the GC paid 25K to the custom cabinet guy (my design), who installed them unpainted, if that helps. Job also included hvac company to install MUA system and vents through the 2nd story roof. An additional sink line was ran, most existing electrical worked with the exception of having to run a 50 amp line for the range. The floor had to be fixed at the added sink area. In hindsight, they should have gone from below and fixed the ceiling below...lesson learned there.

I am redoing my 10x10 kitchen using Barker Cabinets 3/4 maple. I paid $4K for them. I will be spraying them myself using a $250 Harbor Freight Compressor and Air Gun. I have purchased Sherwin Williams Conversion Varnish, primer, etc that in total cost $200. I am also rewiring the kitchen to include Decora outlets and LED recessed that will in total cost $400.

For flooring, I visited the Daltile outlet and found excellent tiles on clearance. Using Mapei mortar and grout. Using Latricete underlayment that goes for $150.

Counters are the only thing I am not installing. My total budget is $8K.
