Momj47--great giggle! Not that either of them looks at all like where I live. An automatically changing by solstice and equinox "seasonal" widget brought it home to me. The sere, gold/brown "Autumn" colors are high Summer (end of June through September) where I live (Southern California), where "fire season" is also important for the propagation of native plants. The new greening is something that happens in Autumn and runs through Spring. We do have mountains, and they do get snow, but it's not a common sight in most of the area. Still, we have the holidays whose decor is dictated by the Northeast. :) Are there parts of Canada that have different looks for the holidays than the greeting card norms?

Do the most of you have your main celebration/meal on Sunday or Monday?

We usually have ours on Sunday but sometimes Monday. If you travel to be with family it makes sense to have it on Sunday so Monday is your travel home day.

We had our big turkey dinner yesterday with hubby's family. His parents cooked the entire meal (we all brought desserts) for 11 people. His parents are 88 and 92!!

Sunday for us, Monday is then a day of leisure and leftovers.

It was just the two of us this year so I cooked a turkey breast for the first time ever. We were lucky we had any kind of Thanksgiving dinner. I've had the flu, then a nasty head cold which of course turned into bronchitis. I haven't eaten anything for a week, but since the turkey was defrosted it had to be cooked. Hubby and I put together the meal, and even made some squash soup. I had a small plate.

Today I feel better, am still coughing but it will be strenuous coughing again throughout the night.

I'm sorry you have been sick. Do you have any Vick's Vapor Rub? If you do, rub some on your feet and put socks over it before bed. It will help calm the cough so you can sleep.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday and Jasdip, hope you're feeling better soon. One tip, give the cats some catnip. Watching them enjoy their feast will make you feel better.
