The same thing happened to me, Jasdip, so I just went back to the way it was and praying that that stupid moving annoyance goes away soon!!

I think you can go back to Block Element and then cancel it. It was last week when I was playing with it and I have kind of forgotten how I got back. Sorry.

The program probably works based on the "class" of the html element. Both the box containing the original message and the annoying scrolling professionals bar have the same "class" <div class="hz-carded hz-carded-unpadded-x">

The professionals box contains another div element <div class="pp__carousel.cat-8.row-1"> that may accomplish what you desire.

If you go into "Filter preferences...", under the tab called "Custom filters" and look into "Element Hiding Rules" you'll possibly find a rule that looks similar to this:

gardenweb.com###view-question-content.pp__expand, .hz-carded-unpadded-x.hz-carded

If so, double click it and change it to say:

gardenweb.com###view-question-content.pp__expand, .hz-carded-unpadded-x.hz-carded:nth-of-type(2)

When done, it should look something like this:

No guarantees of course, but quickly trying it, it seems to work.

You're welcome Jasdip. I think what was happening is the the rule caught not only the element you wanted to block but also the original question which just happened to match the same rule.

If you're interested in trying again, the second rule/filter above (the one that ends with ":nth-of-type(2)") lets Adblock Plus know you only want to block the second occurrence/match. It blocks the carousel while leaving the question alone.

I don't understand what you are talking about which is ok because I don't need to, but Jasdip, did it now go back to the way it was with the Professional thing back where it was to start with? Or were you able to get rid of it?

Murraysmom, click on one of the individual pictures in the ad, when you use the Block element feature. Don't highlight the whole ad box, which is what I did earlier.
