Looking for a good web site to buy house plants from
Comments (16)I just have to say--most my life I've had to get a lot of my plants by mail-order--lived in rural areas, couldn't find much in local stores most places, wanted something different I couldn't find locally even when there were pretty good local sources. Even if you're not thinking about *buying*, going to nursery websites can be a great source of information. Many have good information about growing, and more have pictures. You can learn a lot about plants you may not even know about but are just what you have to have (boy, is that a description of me!) If you have a particular kind of plant family in mind, there are different sites that feature different kinds of plants. Violet Barn is excellent and has more different kinds of plants, and pictures, and good prices and service- Kartuz Nursery has lots of different kinds of plants, and pictures--I understand the service has improved considerably. So many more--you could go to the Garden Watchdog and get lots and lots of names, plus reviews by customers about prices, customer services, etc....See MoreBad contractor web site

He is a proud dad of 3 & enjoys everyday like it is his last. He is known as Sean, the main Grunt & passed out flyers in my neighborhood. He did some smaller handyman things for me & it was great. Then he suggested I paint the exterior of my house. I took his advice & paid him $1500 to start. Then he complained that he needed Hernia surgery & bc he was a friend now & met my children, I felt sorry for him & paid him the entire $3000 he quoted for the job. I have waiting since April 2021. His Fiancé, Beverly even called me (no caller ID) & asked if he & I were having “relations” bc she couldn’t believe I paid him in advance for the job. (Never, never). I was not interested in him that way. NEVER.......Yuck. Shame on me for being a nice person trying to help their fellow man. Because I paid him “cash”, I have no way to retaliate or sue him. Super stupid on my part, I know so.... I just don’t want anyone else to be taken advantage of like he “screwed” me. TMI & I shouldn’t post, but I have to bc he took advantage of me in such a bad way, I have to do something...... What comes around, goes a around. He will receive his in another way. I believe in God & being a good person. Thank you if you read this post & sorry so long. Melinda B Walker. 😡...See MoreWhen a diet on a web site says ''fresh fruit'' tomatoes OK?
Comments (10)No, it's not because of the Supreme Court, unless you're talking about regulatory classifications, which is not what we're talking about. As the article you linked to itself points out: "The court unanimously decided that the scientific classification of a tomato doesn't change common language", i.e., common usage and consideration of the tomato had already squarely put it in the vegetable camp long before any kerfuffles about tariffs came up. So it's more like the Supreme Court ruled that it's a vegetable for the purposes of classification for taxation because that's the culinary purpose most people were putting it to, despite its obvious botanical classification as a fruit. If people had been eating it like a fruit for all those years, nobody would have had a basis to petition that it be considered a vegetable, and the Court would have had no basis to declare it a vegetable. Let's not confuse cause and effect....See MoreDenied Access to SS Web Site Account
Comments (5)This happened to my spouse back in mid-Sept 2018. He tried phoning in several times but altho they said they fixed it, it was never cleared up and he just could not log-in. Turned out the absolute easiest, fastest way to solve this way to GO IN to the SS office. He went first thing in the morning and somehow there was only 1 person in front of him. He was all prepared for a hours'-long experience but instead was in/out in less than 20 min! He said they fixed it in 10 minutes, told him he would receive a new temp password in the mail within 10 days. He received it, logged in and everything was fine....See MoreMonica bf N.
