Hi misssherry - Sounds like you are already very busy with the leps. Good on you. Health issues are fun huh? Not! Looking forward to all the great pictures you post every year. Jmcat - We get three forms of P. coloro here... rudkini, clarki and comstocki. For some reserchers rudkini is a synonym of coloro, but there is three distinct forms here however you choose to lump or separate them. The ones seen so far have been mostly rudkini, with a few clarki. Not as much wild Thamnosma montana right around here as there is further NE and south, but they still wander into the outskirts and edge of town where I live to nectar. Hey susanlynne - As you probably remember I have always "had" to use toxonomic classification because of the crowds I ran with and have never relied on common names. I don't know all the localized common names of either leps or plants, but now days I also don't keep up on all the reclassifications and so changes in taxonomy either. If it's any comfort to you and others here, I am usually as confused with the abbreviations of localized common names used here so much as you may be with taxonomic names. Manage to figure a lot of them out by other facts given in a post, but it's comical sometimes when I don't have a clue. So if I loose/confuse any of you, sorry, but lets just say I am getting even with all of you. LOL And yes, I am starting to learn what these abbreviations are.

Betty, so sorry to hear about your DH, but be glad he's on the mend and can now enjoy summer with you & the family. It's always something, isn't it??? My son was in track and I remember all the practices & the meets, but I LOVE track & field events so I was at every one of them through grade school & highschool with him. My oldest grandson tried track & he just doesn't have his dad's genes I guess, now he's great at almost every sport, especially if it involves balance, he was "dropping in" on the big vert ramp on his skateboard when he was 4, but he seems to have lead in his butt when it comes to running & track. Guess he'll stick to his guitar & cycling! I bet your son does make state if the did that well his first year! I'm just like you, I LOVE digging in the earth, all my nails are gone as soon as spring arrives. Everyone says "why don't you wear gardening gloves" I hate them, I want to feel the soil, get in there & get dirty & you are right, if I'm not dirty & sweaty by nite time, I did not have a good day in the yard!!! LOL And, like you, have back & shoulder problems, but if we let that stop us, we deprive ourselves of one more simple pleasure in this life, so I plod onward & continue to work in my yard, despite the problems!!! I will be mostly lurking too, unless I have some pics from yard sales to share.

This is a great example of someone who probably shouldn't be doing FSBO. If the simple stuff upsets you, you're going to be a mess when you start working on an offer. I always FSBO, but I am NEVER rude to agents, even those who call just to offer to list my homes. I am currently in the process of closing a home I was going to FSBO but an agent sent out a letter asking if any units were for sale. I let him sell to his waiting client because he was comfortable meeting my financial needs (I have a bottom line cash out amount I want) and we just upped the price to include his fees and closing costs. If I were you I'd consider calling back and making a totally BS excuse about the fact that you were having a bad day. Share the template information and close your call with a simple "If you know anyone suitable for the house I'd love to show it to them". This isn't the best market to peeve off the professionals. Even in a FSBO there's room for negotiations with pros. I have paid fees to several agents for bringing me a buyer..negotiated fees, less than the normal 6% but still...a sale is a sale and if they have a buyer...I'm never rude!

I eat chickweed more like a potherb than a medicinal, but I cook/bake with herbs much more than I make medicinal preparations. I agree about henbit tasting like dirt. I think purple deadbeats tastes a little better, but I don't like the texture. I tried pursuance once and liked it, but it doesn't grow naturally in my yard. Gonna plant some seeds this year, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Lambsquarter is popping up everywhere this year. After 7 years on the property, 1 wild lambsquarter showed up last year and I let it go to seed. Silly me...I wasn't expecting it to reseed quite so well. Good thing I like to eat it.
