My grandson has a whole book of those type of images. I can't get them all, but this one I can see.

I had a book of images like that one a long time ago...it does take a little practice but the results are very cool. Some are almost like looking into a new world.

Hmmm. The first time I got it, I was looking into a shape, like a hole. This time, The obiect is raised against a background.

Got it to be a concave impression again!

What are others seeing? A 3D concave shape or object?

It's a 3d shape of something.

You will know exactly what it is when you 'see' it. Relax your eyes, no squinting and slowly move closer and farther and you will start to see 3D effects. Wrangle it slowly a bit more and you will see it.

I see two different versions of a 3D trick. One is concave, looking into a shaped hole, the other is an object against the background. I'm wondering which others are seeing.

These used to be all the rage decades ago. There were lots of underwater scenes etc.

Look at the picture as if you're looking in a mirror at your reflection and focus on one thing. Even a white space. When the picture gets blurry, you can look around and the image will jump out at you.

Cross your eyes a little and look at the center - for a while!

I did, that's what gave me the headache.

Here are instructions from another image...only in this case you do that with the flip flops instead of squares.

Hold the center of the printed image right up to your nose. It should be blurry. Focus as though you are looking through the image into the distance. Very slowly move the image away from your face until the two squares above the image turn into three squares. If you see four squares, move the image farther away from your face until you see three squares. If you see one or two squares, start over!

When you clearly see three squares, hold the page still, and the hidden image will magically appear. Once you perceive the hidden image and depth, you can look around the entire 3D image. The longer you look, the clearer the illusion becomes. The farther away you hold the page, the deeper it becomes. Good Luck!

Rusty, I couldn't see it either and I won't tell you how many times I looked today. DH couldn't see it. I printed it and followed Annie's instructions and it pops right out. We were both about ready to head for the ophthalmologist when so many could focus on it and we could not.

I'm really due to go anyway, in fact past due. I'm finally having trouble with the phone book and my arms are barely long enough to read label ingredients at the grocery store ;0)

I couldn't do it here but I could some something similar in The 90s. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaines boss was obsessed with those images.

It is absolutely freaky to me how, once the image becomes clear, you can actually look around it, like peering into another world.

I followed the instructions Annie posted and saw it finally.

These only work if your vision in both eyes is equal. :)

Depending on how long I cross my eyes to make the layers separate, I can see four layers, but none is the complete shape of a starfish. I can also make just a starfish appear, and make a square, with the concave the starfish inside, stand out on the page.

I can get the Magic Eye Tuesday image to have one peak or three, depending on how I focus.

I'm going to have to find that book and try them again.

Anyone tried inserting her hand or finger into the image standing out on the page? Weird!
