Comments (2)Last night was the complete opposite of Tuesday night. I walked out of the exam feeling good, upbeat, and confident. I only wondered how high my A would be. She had "extra credit" on test, but by extra credit she meant give your opinion and she really wanted it. Practically begged us to answer them. She was kind of watching everyone do their tests and when they'd get to the end, she'd walk over and make sure you understood what she wanted because she changd her mind when we first got there. I wasn't directly watching her, I could just see out of my periphery. I could feel her watching me write my answer, shake my head, erase it, write it again, shake my head, erase it.... and when I finished she got up out of her seat and went over to read it before I could hit the door. She indicatd she liked it, so I guess I'll get that part "right" too. Of course, she's a psych prof so she probably likes everyone to feel good about themselve ;D I'm really worried about Keegan kitty. I noticed the other night he seemed even more frail and smaller than usual. I've been checking on his bowl and the litter box. The bowl doesn't seem to get any lower and the box isn't getting any more full. He's happy, but he's tiny, skin and bones. The cat about whom people would exclaim, what a big cat! is tiny. It pains me. I may have been overanxious, but he seemed to have really labored breathing when purring the other night. Or not. I don't know. I decided last night I'd give him anything he wanted. I found a can of steak and potato soup that I dug the potatoes out of, and cranked it on to a plate. He seemed to lap that up pretty well last night and this morning. So I am less worried today. But he better start eating and get much more better soon. The boys are going camping this weekend and spent their evening picking up supplies. Little secret? They may be excited, but I am moreso, the house to myself! Hurray!...See MoreSS Support Mon, September 24 th thru Sun. September 30th
Comments (24)TGIF.....and I REALLY mean that! I got home from the GENESIS concert at 1:30am, and the alarm went off at 5:15am as usual. I am exhausted from the Tuesday charity event where I got to bed at 1am. Too much late night for me. Phil Collins wanted all the "old people" to shout last night...he had about 50,000 of us screaming. Too funny! QOD: Nothing but chores so far. Tonight DBIL is coming over for dinner (and to help DH with our master bath which is still not completed). I plan on crying a bit more over my beloved METS who are falling apart. Tomorrow I hope to get the scarecrows and such out on the lawns and get to the garden center for a few mums and pumpkins so that we can finished decorating the outside of the house for fall; inside is completed. Sunday we will chill in front of the TV to watch the JETS, and in between I will get some more cooking finished for the week. OK, gotta run to the grocery. I took this afternoon off as vacation. After some errands I'm going to take a nap! Make today count! Check in DeeMarie PS: I was invited to join a committee here at work for our holiday party. It will be attended by 40o people and they want an "80's prom" theme. I remember the 80's well but was older than my teens (ahem!!!). Any suggestions welcome. Not sure many people will dress up, but giveaways and such that people could put on might be an idea. It will be held in a huge hotel (Hilton or similar). Thx!...See MoreSSSSSupport 6-September - 11-September
Comments (29)DeeMarie: Did your MIL accept the invite? Why not ask her to teach you how to cook a Hungarian dish? She'd just have to supply you with an ingredient shopping list or maybe you guys could go shopping tohether! Couldn't DH pick her up? HAHA. I'm trying to make your weekend MORE busy for you! LOL! :) Raeanne~ Enjoy the weekend! Man, your kids sounds like jetsetters! They travel as much as you do! Marci: Glad you had a goood start. Hope Tuesday is smooth sailing. QOD: Today, I'm headed downtown for a lunch. It's DH's last day of his internship. Then I have to do some biz at work and get an emissions test on my car. Hope it passes. Tonight, DH and I are headed out to a quick dinner and a drink while one DD is at her high school football game. I have to be very, very careful eating out as I think I am entering plateau territory in my weight loss. The good news is I have lost over 15 inches in bust, waist, abs, and hips. Saturday, we're all going to the last fair of the year---it's the biggest. But if it rains too hard, we'll pass on it. Sunday is a birthday party for a family friend of my youngest DD. I will stay at the party to help my friend with her new baby while she runs the party. Baby holding!!!! I love it!!!! Then, later, we're having our neighborhood picnic and BBQ. They have it on our community tennis courts (lots of room!) and are having one of those blow up bouncy room-things for the kids----and lots of food---POTLUCK! There are 42 families and usually a good turnout. I am in charge of one of the grills, so I'll be having fun for sure! Somewhere in there, I have to balance a checkbook and reconcile 2 credit card statements. And there's the ever-present laundry! BESH! Are you still on WW? Check in! Have a GREAT weekend! Cheers!...See MoreMovie Guessing Game - Wednesday, September 17, 2008
