You don't have to know what will go on the upper part of the wall. Prep and prime it and you'll be ready when you decide. I think you can use that medicine cabinet if it is something you love. I'm not sure how to judge your "is it too much" thinking though -- do you really love it? As far as size, make sure you have the height for it with lighting that you like. Include the height of your vanity, the splash, some room above that, the mirror and then see what you have left for lighting and clearance above and below. I would like the wider mirror, but if your ceilings are low, you may need to go shorter. If the mirror fits, what would you think about getting some rub n silver from the craft store and adding some silver highlights to the mirror and lightening it up a bit? If you like that idea, go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's and get some of that rub on silver (yep -- use your finger even), and give it some highlights. That might soften it a bit and tie it in to your lighter room. If you've never done anything like that, find something to practice on -- a picture frame, a flower pot or vase - something that you can play with and see how it works on edges and details. For lighting. look at the fourth row of that Ferguson's lighting link, look at the Feiss Claridge. That could follow the shape of the top of the mirror and it might be nice to bring in another curve rather than a straight line. Personally, I like a three light fixture most of the time. It's that odd number thing, plus, if that is the main source or only source of light in the bathroom, I think it's better to have the ability to have more light and tone it down with a dimmer or smaller bulbs if you need to or want to. As far as the toile, it's hard to say not seeing the space and what you have. It might look great, but you keep your other elements in mind. Glad you kept the grout light. I do think that the floral idea will work better than some other toile patterns because of the round and flowing lines. The ones that are tiny sketches scattered could wind up looking like one more liner element. All I can tell you about the creaminess is that I can't tell you anything from my monitor. You'll have to look at the different elements together. You should be able to order a sample of the wallpaper and you might want to try a few to compare.

Thanks talley for all of the suggestions! Yes, photos and a few other sentimental (non-replaceable) things I will be taking with me are now stored together so I can quickly collect them. As far as financial papers and addresses, I have made extra copies that are in my hurricane supply boxes (I update them every 6 mos). Other than survival items (water, food, clothing, etc)and pets/supplies, I plan on taking nothing else from the house (space will be an issue in the car as I will be evacuating with my elderly parents and their supplies). Even though we may have a couple of days warning with a hurricane, my locale is so congested that you have to plan on getting on the road as soon as the warning is put out, otherwise you run the risk of getting stuck in traffic while the hurricane is bearing down. We learned that with hurricane Charley. So now, during the entire hurricane season, I make an effort to keep the gas tank topped, keep the supplies ready to go, have extra $$$ at home, etc., to minimize the time needed to evacuate. Since I live in a "A" flood zone and subject to storm surge, staying put is not a very smart option for me. So...I have to have things readily accessible to throw in the truck when a warning (class 3+) is issued. Thanks @decoenthusiaste. Unfortunately, the bed doesn't fit in the closet space and we need the bedside tables for our CPAP machines so the closet around the bed option is also not workable. I've had to compromise the closet space (yet 215cm is not so small) for increased storage space in the kitchen next to the fridge for supplies, brooms, and a vacuum. I've been trying to find a solution for the computer storage, something like a cubby to push it into but that takes up table space. I've already asked the kitchen company if they can add a pull-out table like this to the top drawer of the closest cabinet so we can sit across from each other when the weather is not so great.

I'm also asking what to do with a 65" wide, ~6' long passage taht will be part storage, part hallway. How to divide the 65" width is my main question. Current design, pictured abnove, is 34" for the 'hallway', and 32" for the closet depth. It feels to me like a 32" closet doesn't gain all that much over a 24" deep closet, given the depth of coathangers and standard dresser drawers. Would something like the following be doable: 26" closet depth (24 1/4 for the tiny washer/dryer unit linked above, plus a smidge for plumbing, most of which will be located in the stub wall opposite the vanity). 8" shelves on the opposite wall (possibly could recess them into the stud bays to make deeper or make protrude less into the hall?!) leaving 31 inch skinny passageway. Does that make sense what I'm asking?
