Tina, the hernia is right above a scar from gallbladder surgery I had years ago, Orthoscopic, and he said it could be from that, which is what you described. He also firmly believes coughing causes hernias, and I wouldn't be surprised because I have asthma and cough sometimes. Mona, it doesn't really hurt, I noticed it hurt some this morning when I bent down. Other than that, I can't tell I have it. No one can see it unless I were to wear a tight shirt. That I will NOT do. lol. It's about the size of an oval golfball, I was told it's small compared to other hernias. I'm going to try to give it a month or so and see what happens. If the pain increases, I'll definitely go see a surgeon about this. It could be a combination of both. Wodka, where is your mother's located at? Maybe this is karma for me cause knowing me, when I was a kid I probably laughed at old ladies with "bumps." lol. Karma has always came back to bite me. :)

Hi wow this post is super helpful and comforting to read, knowing I'm not the only sufferer of this pelvic, rear end, ovary pain! I am 31 years old. My husband and I are trying for our first baby. I have polycistic ovaries (PCOS) so I am taking a drug called Letrozole (it's like Chlomid) to help me ovulate. I have been ovulating regularly now for about 6 months, and boy do I know when I am ovulating!!! The pain is absolutely excruciating to the point where last night I almost collapsed and passed out in the street, clinging onto my husband for dear life. Stabbing/shooting pains in my left ovary all the way through to my rear end, my legs went limp and I was absolutely terrified. I felt like my left ovary was going to explode. And then 20-30 minutes later it went away, and I was practically normal again. Each month this ovulation pain gets more and more intense. If I don't fall pregnant this month then I dread to think of the pain again next month. I am worried I may have cysts developing because of PCOS and that each month the ovulation puts pressure and could cause the cysts to burst. I am seeing my gyno about this, but he says I just have this Mittelschmerz condition and it's nothing to worry about. He has told me to have an ultra sound test at the beginning of my next cycle before taking the Letrozol again to see what my ovaries are like at the beginning and if we can see any cysts. This is obviously really worrying and because I was on the pill for nearly 10 years I had no idea I would suffer from this!!! Any advice, or just words of encouragement are always welcomed. According to this, studies found no difference between animals s/n at 7 wks or 7 mo. The only difference was between those s/n older than one year as opposed to younger than a year. To try to control pet overpopulation, many humane shelters have started to spay/neuter all animals before they are adopted. This means they are spaying/neutering animals at a younger age, even 6-14 weeks of age. Many veterinarians in private practice have started early spaying/neutering as well. Questions have arisen regarding the safety of this procedure and possible effects on the animals when they become older. Some people were especially concerned that early neutering could make cats more prone to urinary tract disease. As more studies have been done, and veterinarians have followed early spayed/neutered animals into older age, these concerns have been shown to be unfounded. Groups of cats spayed/neutered at 7 weeks of age, 7 months of age, and after 12 months of age were followed in a large study. The cats were all placed in homes and followed for years. When comparing the groups of cats it was found that: Cats spayed/neutered before 12 months of age were generally longer and taller than those spayed/neutered at 12 months. Cats who were not spayed/neutered until 12 months of age or older were noticeably less affectionate and more aggressive. There were no significant differences in the development of the urinary tract among the three age groups. A similar study was performed with dogs. There were no significant differences in growth rate, food intake, or weight gain in the three groups of dogs spayed/neutered at different ages. Early spaying/neutering has been shown to be safe in multiple studies. It must be remembered that younger animals may need different anesthetics and are more prone to hypothermia (lower than normal body temperature) during surgery. But as long as procedures are modified to account for these differences, early spaying/neutering is very safe. In fact, animals spayed/neutered at a younger age, often have faster recoveries than those spayed/neutered when they are older.

Thanks for the link to the Trader Joe's shopping list. I don't throw food nearly as much as she does, however, but I do already buy a lot of the things on her list, and quite a few I make myself rather than buy already prepared. This list does make me wish that my stand-up freezer had not died, but when I had it, I put way too much stuff in it and never seemed to get around to using all of it. I did shop at TJ's yesterday, and it was rather irritating. They had moved the nuts to where the bread used to be and vice versa, and so I asked someone who was stocking the shelves where the pita bread. I was already on the right aisle, and he said that the artisanal bread was all further down that aisle. I mentioned that it used to be by the front door, and he told me that it had been moved quite some time ago, in a rather surly tone of voice. I then went down the aisle to look for the pita and discovered that it was actually right in front of the person I had asked and was on the very bottom shelf, practically on the floor, which made it difficult to find. I was irritated that he didn't tell me that he was standing directly in front of it. Other people who were stocking items in the store pushed carts in front of me, forcing me to get out of their way instead of going around me, which they could have easily done. It was like they were annoyed that I was shopping there. I really need to shop at a different TJ's, as others are nicer, and there are quite a few that are reasonably close to me. I did buy some frozen mango plus some fresh plumcots. I don't know if these are the same as the pluots that we get at the farmers' markets, but they were in a hard, clear plastic container so that I could not tell how ripe they were. It turns out that they were nowhere near being ripe, but I guess that will be okay. They will probably be tart. I also bought some frozen corn that looked better than what I normally buy, but I did not have enough room in my freezer to buy any more frozen vegetables. I could not find any dried beans at TJ's, except for lentils, but they had a good selection of quinoa, and so I bought a small back of tri-color quinoa, since I have not had that type before. When I got home, I decided to order some dried fava beans from Amazon, and they seemed a bit expensive - $11 for a 20 oz bag. I'll wait to go to the Middle Eastern market to get more dried beans. I have the last of the garbanzos soaking for me to make falafel today, and so I need to get more of those. The Middle Eastern market by far has the best prices.
