Comments (12)dl99- thanks for reply. i actually couldnt take it and changed soil for G.vietnam and African G. do you have any of these plants under your care? if so any advice? i still have the chinese perfume plant in same soil. dont have any more soil. i have to get some asap. i will try and post pitures. my phone camera is not so lear. hopefulA.-LOL @ baby reptiles i now always check for bugs. especially after the first time i was viciously attaked by a spider one time. what i do with plants, when i first get them, is remove soil and drown entire plant in a bucket of waqrm water and alcohol. and spray with a solution of soap, alcohol water. i do this all in a rush. and then no bugs! i keep checking of course. How is the chinese plant? is it fragrant? i still have my chinese plant in its same pot and soil away from everything else. i need more soil and it has a few buds coming along. mine has one little tiny yellow ball open and no scent maybe its too small or something. also i sometimes see sticky clear stuff but i dont see any bugs. when its time to change his soil he will be thoroughly cleaned. for now i will spray him randomly with soap and water nd alcohol. how do you care for your chinese plant? the african gardenia sure does sell fast on accents. mine needed roots pruning so its recovering from that,so no sign of new grow but no signs of death either. thats good no? the G. vietnam is doing well also. before i changed soil and put it in a bigger pot the leaves yellowed slightly. it is showing signs of new growth and im excited about it....See Moreorders from Thailand
Comments (28)Get an import permit and purchase from a reliable source you people are crazy I hope customs gets your package these plants are prob taken from wild! So they won't grow well in your conditions anyway it's illegal the infectious things over seas that you will bringing to the great USA it frightens me and should u you could get your other plants sick or even daughter I highly doubt the seller has permit to export. All this to save a couple bucks it seems crazy it's your life not mine tho I do hope they never arrive I hardly trust anyone on eBay especially some random seller in Thailand that sounds sketchy enough. I have tons of legit sources to get you a safe healthy plant in my state from a reliable source with all permits you should get one. Also btw shipping takes forever and plants will be dead or in great shock. Wish you had listened to the first few senseable responses when are county gets infected with lord knows what I'll know who caused it Bad luck to you my friend...See MoreShould I put my mail order plants in pots first?
Comments (10)I've been having the same question batting around inside my head since small plants were delivered last week from another source. The poor little things are rootbound in what I consider to be too small 2" pots and it's a bear to try and maintain correct moisture level. Since I don't have beds completely amended I can't plant everything now and the little plants will get trampled as I work in gardens. Scored a load of shipping pots and trays from Home Depot on Thursday. They were just sitting tossed here and there in the outdoor garden section. Asked the cashier if they save them and she said they just collect them at the end of the day and toss. Let me take as many as I could fit in car with all other stuff I bought. Bleached everything, going to reduce excessive drainage holes and use to pot up tiny rootbound plants until I find them permanent home. Took me over a week to figure out I can't hold them over in their present containers and there wasn't enough time before they're damaged too far that I won't have to worry about planting them when beds are ready. Buckets of rain soaked clay soil and haven't been able to work on amending beds for improved drainage. Got email yesterday about Bluestone's sale and was sorely tempted. Think I'll go for some affordable one quarts or gallons at local nurseries so I don't have to face this situation again. Moving them in and out to harden off, trying to maintain proper moisture and worrying about rootbound state isn't something I have extra time for at this point in gardening season. Everything seems to need close attention this time of year! I don't even know "what I don't know yet" about all this gardening stuff...LOL....See MoreDesert Rose Plants from Thailand (pix)
Comments (11)www.siamadenium.com Here is another site, but this seller is so high. He only deal with large order. He also sent me a catalog, but cost so much more than the previous seller without shipping. I loved his flowers and wanted to get one so bad. I asked King Adenium for one with 5 grafts with 5 colors and he said would be $400 (If order, it is going to take 3-4 months and you can order with the colors you choose from his list, double, triple, and quatro) 1/2 $$ deposit now and 1/2 when ready. May be I stop eating begin today for my order next year....hihihi.......See More- 7 years ago
