That is correct. So put it out during the day when it's dry. Take it in at night. Or place it in the garage if you have issues in there. My zapper has caught 6 chipmunks so far and several mice.
I just put mine in a bucket laying on it's side. They love peanut butter! I swear one year a chipmonk would sit right on my fence and taunt me..that thing ate more produce than I did that year...don't have that problem anymore! My neighbors feed them..so I have to be quiet about it, bucket helps with that, too..they're nice people, don't want to start a war..but the rodents have got to go!
