Ours will be totally different. They are across the room from each other. My range is against a stone wall (the back of our fpl). I wanted the potfiller to look like an outside spigot. I chose the item below. It will also have exposed plumbing braced against the stone. My kitchen is all neutral - no color no pattern. I am using antique brass hardware on a built in hutch, and polished nickel on some cabs, and orb on my "general store counter". My range is matte black with nickel and brass trim. My faucets are nickel and wood. Not too much matches in our house! Of course we are an extreme situation. I would say if your filler is on the same wall as your faucet, they should be in the same finish and style. PS I know my filler is not a filler and some will say it wont work because it does not extend. However in my old kitchen I had a filler for 8 years and my experience was that I just used the nearest burner when I wanted to use the potfiller. ALmost never had a case where I needed to extend it. You can make it pull out as far as you need by setting the weight clamp, Mine pulls out about 16" which is recommended, but there is a few more inches as long as the weight doesn't hit anything when returned. As for rotating the nozzle so that the button sits in the back. The manual tells you not to rotate it 360", I know it's just rotating 180* here, But ut's pretty stiff if you try to twist the hose around, probably too late for me to try that after installation. I don't mind the button in front. One thing you will need to know is the nozzle mode requires you to hold the button down. I don't use the nozzle it creates too many little droplets, a personal preference.. I only use it on soapy water to create suds.

I have had my other faucet set this way but I didn't have to make modifications to the swivel. It was a knockoff of the higher end faucets and the spray broke after 2 years :( So I bought the Hansgrohe set on Ebay for just under $200. It looks so much nicer than the other faucet I had. The scale is a bit smaller and a better match with the scale of my kitchen. I also like that it angles the spray to the center of the sink instead of near the back where the other one did, causing more backsplash spraying. Ali80ca, I know a lot of people have brought up the "wet hand" theory. Well if I had a hand that came out of the middle of my chest it might unavoidably get wet :) But human hands come at the faucet from the side and encircle the water spray and is very easy to avoid the stream of water. It is really a non issue. It is just an assumption people make. Try it out on your current faucet and pretend the handle is in front. It is very easy to navigate. BTW my plumber was in Minnesota visiting his DB and SIL. They had a constant puddle of water on the back of their high end kitchen sink counter. He suggested the turn around (after doing mine like this 2 years ago). They were reluctant but went for it. It worked to keep the water off the counter from drippy hands. Wiliamsem, yes I switched the H/C lines to match conventional use of hot cold. Though the colors are on the handle in a subtle display that one will have to ignore. There is a slight trade off of design, when doing the turn around, but the function is so much better.

I am still sorting this through, but this was just the kind of help I needed. I feel better having the pieces on top of the counter matching. I don't feel that they have to be an exact match now with my sink. I am headed out to a kitchen place to find a mock up to line my steel optic and air gap on the counter above a brushed SS sink. Does anyone else dislike the ugly looking air gaps? I love the look of the Rohl air gap, but don't like the price. I am getting it though! Thanks everyone!
