Do stainless steel sinks and SS Faucet finishes have to match?

We bought the Hansgrohe Talis C faucet in Steel Optic finish from Costco. This was when we were putting in a white porcelain sink. Steel optic finish is a hint warmer, like a satin nickel, than most SS sinks I see. How crucial is it that the faucet and sink match? Do the air gap, soap pump, faucet and sink need to match?

My sink does not match my faucet ... But I used stainless sink and chrome faucet. I know, boring, right ?

My in-progress kitchen remodel also has plans for a stainless steel sink with a chrome kraus faucet. The garbage disposal air switch will also be chrome. I don't have any more fixtures going in, so I don't think mine will look weird if they don't match. I'd say your soap pump should match your faucet.

I always had a chrome faucet with a stainless steel sink, mainly because that's the way the house came. Our countertop is coming in tomorrow so we needed to buy a faucet quickly. We decided to go with a stainless faucet to match the sink and the stainless appliances that are supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. Also, there is nothing shiny in our kitchen, so we thought the SS would work better than chrome. The only worry we had was with the finish of the faucets. Some of the stainless ones seemed to have a bronze tint to them in the stores where we looked. Below is a link to a question I asked about that. Hansgrohe has a nice SS finish. I have 2 and they match the SS sinks. Both are pullouts but they make non pullout faucets. I found them on eBay and very good prices. I searched for Hansgrohe stainless steel faucet. They come and go there but mine were near cost.

We are finishing up on our new build kitchen and will have all stainless appliances and sink with ORB faucet. I also have warm colors and somewhat of a rustic theme with warm tile floor and stained knotty alder cabinets. I have seen ORB faucets with stainless sinks in person and in my opinion it looks good as long as it coordinates with the rest of the room such as with lighting and knobs ( also what I'm doing)....and its best if the sink is undermount so the faucet is not touching the sink. Here's a picture of my sink without the faucet; I will try to post again when faucet and lighting is in. I hope that helps :)

For what it's worth, Lowes sells the Delta Trask faucet, which is nearly identical in looks to the Trinsic, in a regular stainless finish. Not sure if there's any other substantial differences in quality between the two (does anyone know?), but I'm probably going to go with the Trask for our upcoming remodel, since I liked the Trinsic, but don't want the Arctic Stainless finish.

If you have an undermount sink, the faucet isn't actually juxtaposed on the sink material anyway. I don't think they have to match. Mine don't, not exactly, although they are both SS.

I have that faucet, and bought the matching soap dispenser. I have a Blanco SS undermount sink that does not match, - but it looks fine.
I think if the soap dispenser matches the faucet, you should be okay.

I have a Hansgrohe steel optic faucet and Primo ss soap dispenser with a Blanco ss undermount sink. They look fine together and do not appear mismatched.

For those with Blanco SS sinks, did you get the Performa single bowl?

If I order that sink, its a brushed finish, which won;t quite match the Brizio faucet. If I chose the Franke Oceana, its shiny, and would be even less of a match.

I am still sorting this through, but this was just the kind of help I needed. I feel better having the pieces on top of the counter matching. I don't feel that they have to be an exact match now with my sink. I am headed out to a kitchen place to find a mock up to line my steel optic and air gap on the counter above a brushed SS sink. Does anyone else dislike the ugly looking air gaps? I love the look of the Rohl air gap, but don't like the price. I am getting it though!
