Kraus SS Farmhouse sink
Comments (4)Jillsee - I think you are thinking of the fireclay apron front sinks, not stainless. There have been several posts about the fireclay sinks being harder to install because they are handmade and irregular. So the scribing of the countertop around the fireclay apron sink is more difficult due to the irregularity. Also fireclay is really heavy, so needs to be supported properly. There's also a recent thread where someone reported that tightening the flange of their disposal created cracks in their fireclay. You won't have these issues with a stainless steel apron front sink. We were going to get a Kraus stainless sink cause we heard such great things about them. We ended up getting silgranit instead (not an apron front), but Kraus was a close second for us especially with all the great reviews of their sinks on Overstock. We did get a Kraus faucet, and are so pleased at the quality of it. Not just pleased, amazed at the quality of the faucet for such a good price. We bought at the website expressdecor, cause they were offering an additional 10% less than overstock for our Kraus faucet. The faucet has been installed for several months now, and has been flawless. I checked out your link. I am concerned that it is a double bowl sink in a 33" size. I would prefer a single bowl sink in that size so that you have a wide enough area to soak roasting pans, cookie sheets and the like. If you like a double bowl style better, can you go to the Kraus 36" size? Kraus KHF203-36 double-bowl 36-inch farmhouse sink (pictured with the faucet KPF-1602 we bought!) Comments (6)Wow here I sit wondering the same thing. To make it worse do you know Kraus offers the sink/faucet combo? I mean you get everything you need: drain, grid, and faucet. It's a hard decision....I'd really want the rear drain but in a classic style because we are doing concrete. So I'm wondering if the 23" d-shape is what I want because the only other reasonably priced 30" inch sinks are all 18 gauge. My husband insists on stainless steel. Have you seen the elkay perfect drain? I actually saw one at Home Depot for a reasonable price. Didn't touch the strainer but to me looks kinda thin. There are too many decisions!...See MoreDelta faucet vs Moen Showhouse Ascent Faucet and Blanco sink
Comments (0)We are having a kitchen remodel done. I prefer the Moen Ascent Faucet , but the CSL (Classic Stainless model) will delay our install date by about a week. I can get the Delta Allora on time. Questions: In terms of quality - does the Delta Allora compare to the Moen Ascent? Is the Moen warranty better than the Delta warranty? Is the Ascent worth $200 (~60%) more than the Allora? Is it worth waiting an extra week? Either one would have to be compatible with a Blanco Niagara U2 undermount sink. Are there any gotchas re: the sink and either faucet? I have always thought sinks can mix and match, but I want to be sure. Comments (6)Honestly I find people get so stressed about everything matching , it is a water faucet it comes in only so many finishes if this was such a big deal you should have stayed with simple stainless faucet instead of some new finish that not everyone makes. A day after it is installed you will not even notice it, mine does not match my faucet in style and I never think about it anymore....See MoreMatt E.
