Need help identifying these succulents please
Comments (15)Rina, seems like maybe an E. prolifica hybrid. On the species, the stamen would stick out of the bloom. Need blooms on the Grapto, to be sure. Last pic, Harry almost has it...xGraptosedum 'Bronze'. Although it doesn't look like it, I saw an Echeveria 'Lola' today with the design of the leaves of #3. Just throwing that in there! :)...See MorePlease help identify my Sempervivum(?) succulent
Comments (8)I don't believe it is sempervivum, their leaves are not so succulent. I have similar looking plant, but am not 100% on the name so will wait until someone knowledgeable gives you ID: Rina...See MorePlease help identify these succulents and how to care for them, please
Comments (5)is there drainage in that pot?? .. thats very important as to watering ... insert finger.. and do not water.. until its dry in there ... in my MI ... i would not put that shallow a pot in the sun ... excet for the fact that they are sedums.. and you can barely kill them if you wanted .. lol .. to simplify it.. they are full sun.. carp soil plants .. they live in my sand.. with no water after the first year ... and therein lies the rub to trying to make them a winter houseplant.. not enough sun.. and most likely the potting media will hold too much water ... ergo.. i would plant them out in fall ... in native soil.. and get rid of the media .. and i would separate the plants ... not plant the whole gob ... you could have a nice 2 or 3 foot square garden with them .. so start prepping the bed now.. and plant in fall ... and in a few years.. you can start planting them everywhere .. as they will multiply with abandon.. but not in a bad way ... and broken off part can be rooted.. and planted out.. often.. just sticking them in the ground ... ken...See MorePlease help identify my succulent!
Comments (4)The second plant is a pansy! When you change the soil to a grittier mix please also make the mix much higher up in the pot, it's been planted far too low down. If you place a layer of gravel on top of the mix it helps prevent the lower leaves from touching the soil and rotting. The lowest leaves over time will still dry up and fall off, as long as they look and feel like crisps this is the normal process, but they shouldn't go soft and mushy....that's not normal. You could separate the two rosettes and get two plants from it. The pansy would be best planted in a sunny spot outside as it won't do very well indoors, and as mentioned, it's definitely not a succulent and find it a very odd combination to offer for sale, but then they're only after a sale aren't they?
