Where can I find a decent toilet seat?
Comments (4)I am laughing here, because I would love to get one particular seat which I saw online in someone's photo albums. Don't know why it showed up because I certainly wasn't looking for john seats. But it is absolutely PERFECT and PAINFULLY ELECTRIFYING!! It is an acrylic translucent seat. It has BARB WIRE embedded in the seat area. I looked on Amazon.com and they had a picture of one, but it says out of stock and availability unknown. I'm sure the novelty of this seat in a man's bathroom would give him a chuckle every day....See MoreToilet Seat problems...what kind do you have?
Comments (11)Sometimes men just don't "get it" do they Patti? LOL DH is forever doing things that bug me and he will say,"Well, that looks OK!" Like the bright pumpkin orange paint on the walls in his bedroom! I let him get away with that only because nobody ever goes in there but me or him.I wake up every morning to that orange "glow",(his room adjoins mine) made even worse by the morning sun coming in the window because he has never put his blind back up since the room was painted about 6 months ago. There is a big door opening between his room and mine so I get the full effect of the "glow" every morning.I almost have to wear sunshades.LOL We are shopping next week for a folding door for that opening! I have the oak toilet seats that we bought at Lowes,I think, about 7 years ago.The one in my bathroom has a slight crack and has had for a couple of years but it isn't pinching yet.LOL We have replaced the bolts that hold it onto the commode on both of them within the last 6 months but so far that's all. They have the brass hinges but I hate them because the finish has worn off and they look really cruddy.I won't replace them until I have to though. Those things are expensive. Maybe you should have kept the white one and did something like this to make it a little more "stylish".LOL Here is a link that might be useful: Toilet seats...See MoreAnybody retrofit their toilet with a Japanese toilet seat?
Comments (33)I have left side paralysis due to multiple sclerosis. Just yesterday I was able to swap my standard elongated seat for a Brondell Swash 1400. You can do it, but yes, you’ll need power. The water just t’s from your existing water line, then there’s a smaller water line to the new seat. However, while tightening the fitting to the threaded valve stem underneath the tank I turned it too hard and it broke! It’s plastic of course! So on top of the new seat, I now had to get a new flush valve as well. Strangely enough, I was not able the replace the new valve by myself so I had to call someone. Sorely disappointed and my pride hurt—but all’s well. Go for it!...See MoreToto's cotton white toilet color vs. Bemis's white toilet seat?
Comments (8)My experience with Toto toilet’s is from the one I bought a year and a half ago! It is a beautiful toilet flushes great no problem there. However it is the first toilet I have ever owned in my 50 years that I cannot get clean I regret buying this toilet because it always looks dirty inside the bowl! Buyer beware I will never buy another Toto toilet. Now the seat that came recommended for my Toto toilet is a Toto brand seat it is the most difficult thing to clean also as well as uncomfortable. The seat and toilet are the Biggest regret of my remodel! I will try to find the exact model I have and post it later....See More- 9 years ago
