How many cubic feet in a 25 gallon pot?
Comments (16)You would think bulk wouuld be the way to go but......... There is 27 cubic feet in a yard. a 2 cf bag of pine fines from walmart is $2.65 a bag so $35.75 a yard. A yard of pine fines from the only spot that sells it is $30. Walmart is 5 miles from my house..the nursery that sells the pine fines is 30 miles. In my case the bulk is more expensive. I don't grow my BB in pots, I grow in the ground. The pots were for a friend that wanted an easier way to grow the blueberries....See MoreAce Hardware has 2 cubic feet of Miracle Grow Potting Mix for $6!
Comments (7)55 quart bag for 9.99 in Denver metro - great stuff. I think I have purchased my fifth bag this year and normally my OCD makes me mix my own. Fox Farm's Ocean Mix is now readily available at my local nursery and it is great stuff as well, but more expensive then the Costco deal....See MoreAlternative to pot feet (cont'd!)

Comments (11)I will pot them today. I wouldn't put vermiculite in a mix for them, i have some left from adding it to a compacted clayish garden bed that wouldnt take water, and was thinking it might be a soft temp home. Just concerned about root damage when potting and repotting. Fakechuchi- i wasn't going to water them till they were planted in their permanent home for a few days, and will keep them inside till then. I used a bit of water to rinse dirt from their roots when I got them, do you think they need more water in the meantime? And yes I'm also much more comfortable working with pumice then anything else. Violet- I ordered them from miles2go, he has a nice plant list of all kinds of succulents and interesting plants at what I think are good prices. I paid about 2$ a piece, with free shipping if u spend 50$. Though I see now your in the Phillipines I don't know if he sends plants overseas. Ewwmayo- I used to use perlite in everything so I probably have some somewhere. I dont usually order plants online, besides me being unprepared, I'm happily suprised with everything I got. The truncata has 5ish flowers stalks peeking out, but hard to see in pic. Hopefully I can keep them happy and alive :) Last ? Ive seen some split in strange ways, but is it common for one to have multiple heads on the same body, not split to base?...See More- 7 years ago
