Comments (1)Even though the windows are close, they are in two different rooms. I would not match. I like the ones you have. I am hesitant to white wash although I like the look, in case it doesn’t turn out I’m stuck. Unfortunately, the mantle can nit be lowered without destroying the fireplace. Comments (98)Is it possible to rotate the sectional so the long side faces the fireplace, and the short side is in front of the window? Then move the chair & console to large wall. Or place console behind sofa on window side. I used to have a sectional too, and idk about you, but the asymmetry always drove me nuts. I just could never make it feel balanced to me. Also, thinking maybe paint the bookcases the same as the wall color. That could help them blend in. You could paint the backs to add some decorative accent, or wallpaper or anything....See Morejdemores
