what pre-emergent do you use?
Comments (17)Lou, I often use wiki to support my points. That doesn't mean that I used it as a learning tool. On the other hand, your knowledge appears to be based solely on the thoughts of one person who moderates a yahoo group. From your link: "Ammonium is first converted, by the action of bacterial enzymes, to nitrite (NO2) and then another set of bacteria converts nitrite to nitrate (NO3)." From my post: "With organic fertilizer, bacteria and fungi decompose organic material and form ammonium then bacteria decompose the ammonium and form nitrites then decompose the nitrites and form nitrates." My main point was that "All fertilizers produce or contain nitrates whether they are organic or inorganic". Where's the disagreement? Aren't you capable of a mature discussion? You typically make a personal attack then cite one source, Dr. Ingham. You don't even make a point. I suggest that you learn how to participate in a discussion as an adult. -Deerslayer...See MoreAfter starting then releasing parking brake motor wants to die
Comments (6)Temporarily unplug the engine connector with the Blue & White wires. The White is the engine kill wire. When grounded, it kills the engine. (Blue is the alternator, so make sure it doesn't short to anything) IF that "cures" the problem, then we know the White wire is getting grounded somehow. Either a bad switch, or worn insulation on the wire itself. Inspect the wire where it touches the chassis etc., to see if there are any bare spots. Note, with this wire disconnected, the engine won't "kill" normally. You might also try unplugging the pedal switch to see what happens. According to the schematic I have, it doesn't have anything to do with cranking the engine, which DOESN'T make sense. The "module" has me stumped, since the schematic doesn't show what it does. Just the plug with Blue Red, Green & White wires. You could also try unplugging it, or wiggling the connector. Sorry I can't add more insight....See Morewhere to park emergency funds
Comments (5)Altho the price can fluctuate a little, look at Ginnie Mae funds at Vanguard or Fidelity. Morningstar is the standard for mutual fund ratings. You'll get a better rate of return than with money market funds even with a very slight price fluctuation. I'll also recommend Bob Brinker's radio program and website. Lots of great information. http://www.bobbrinker.com/ Here is a link that might be useful: Morningstar ratings...See MoreDo you take your dog to a dog park to play?
Comments (18)To a dog park--no. The reasons listed in this post are all valid, and all boil down to one, really--irresponsible owners. But that's not the only reason I would avoid our local dog park. There's a bit of a unique side issue with the local one. Now, that being said, when DD used to raise Seeing eye puppies, we regularly had get-togethers with the other dogs--at our monthly meetings, at parties, fairs, parades, camping. Once a summer, we'd rent a fenced park (with a lake) for a picnic and we'd let the dogs run free and enjoy themselves. The big difference, though, was that these dogs were all up on all their shots, they were all well-socialized and knew each other and the humans, and we had 2 very well-educated leaders of the club who were able to handle any problems that arose. It was a lot of fun--for the puppies and their raisers....See MorePKponder TX Z7B
