Drain for vessel sink mounted as undermount??

We are using the Loft AS vessel sink--rectangular, no overflow opening--as an undermount sink in guest bathroom vanity....the front will be exposed and overhang lip/doors underneath just little...

When we priced fixtures we thought we would use the Loft made w/hole for single faucet at back--thicker and our cabinet guy said better to use just straight rectangular back... New sink has no overflow...we ordered a Kohler umbrella (push/pop) drain for the first sink.

Do we need a different drain for this one w/o the overflow feature? This sink has a flat bottom--very little slope if any. I know the umbrella drains, with those covers, usually have some water settling...we have them in master and have to wipe underneath the cover when I clean sink...
