Endless Summer Hydrangeas + Deer

Last fall we planted some endless summer hydrangeas. Recently a mama deer and her baby have been snacking on our hydrangeas so that they all look a bit bedraggled and only one has any blooms remaining. Should I leave them alone to recover or prune them back into (small) shape? Any rules I need to be aware of when pruning? If I do cut them back a bit is it likely they will rebloom?

It's hard to begrudge the deer their snacks, as the baby is so dang cute; but these hydrangeas are my babies.
