I have attached three pics. I don't have the specs for either the sink or my faucet at this point but maybe these will help you figure out your concerns. I am betting the center of the single hole is right at 3 inches from the back of the sink. If it helps, my faucet is a Price Pfister Ashfield model. You should be able to get the specs online. Here's an overall shot of the tolerances I have with a tape measure in place... Here's a shot of just the space behind my riser... Here's a shot of the space left in front of my riser... Like I said, if the shot isn't good enough to tell, when I look in person, near as I can figure the center of the hole would be right at 3" away from the wall. Hope this helps. Ne

Thank you so much everyone for your help! One more question though: does anyone know how buckheadbilly would have gone about fitting so many pieces for hardware behind the sink when its design only allows for a faucet? Do you think he cut that back lip off entirely or just drilled holes in it?

Thanks everyone you for your quick feedback! Quick correction to my point number 3 above. Other IKEA sinks can fit a 36" cabinet. After talking through all of these options with another IKEA salesperson today, I decided to choose this option. Will make my contractor's job much easier.

In case you want another possibility, the Kohler Whitehaven (cast iron) and the Kohler Vault (stainless steel) come in "short apron" styles that can be installed on a standard sink base. They are more expensive than the Domsjo, but also more durable. They have a self facing apron that slips over the face frame of the cabinet after the faux drawer fronts have been removed and part of the upper frame. However, they are also undermount sinks.
