Touch latches on cabinet doors sound like a good idea, but what's the cabinet finish gonna look like where you keep touching it in the same place again and again, and often with fingers with food on them? Maybe some Navy knobs? There are many concrete look-alike solid surfaces that look great with a matte finish. Unlike sintered, you can make seamless 90* corners and unlike engineered stone and the real thing, it doesn't stain.

Polished porcelain shows metal marks and other types of deposit marks because it is harder than the surface rubbing against it. That's the same reason that porcelain plates get gray knife marks on them. Those are not scratches, and should not have a strong abrasive used on them. All of those should come off with softscrub. A quality porcelain tile like Neolith will generally have a MOHS hardness of 8, which is greater than most marbles (MOHS 3-4) and as strong as some igneous rocks, e.g. granite and quartz. The maximum on the MOHS Scale is 10, which is the hardness of diamond. It takes a whole lot of force and something very very hard, like a diamond, to actually scratch porcelain. Most porcelain will be the hardest thing in the room.

I installed neolith in my kitchen this summer 2023, so far all is good! In general porcelain would not be my first choice anymore, since I used for my kitchen island real marble, what might give me different headache of staining and etching, but marble is something else! Still happy I tried Neolith, just to have experience with it! The biggest + of Neolith, it does not stain and I can clean it with all kind of strong cleaning products! I used ultra soft finishing, what remind me a little bit honed marble texture😊
