Ugh. Have I made a classic landscape mistake: Arizona Cypress

I think I already know the answer to this question, but...here goes. We live in British Columbia, zone 6a. Last summer we planted 2 Arizona Cypress (Blue Ice) in our front yard. My aim was to provide us with some eventual privacy and winter interest. The plant tag indicated after ten years the trees would be around 6 feet tall. I had a niggling suspicion in the back of my mind that I was making a mistake, and they would get WAY too big, but they were so pretty! Anyway, they seem to be thriving and I am beginning to panic about how big they are going to get. Basically I'm worried they will get so big that they provide too much shade and privacy in our front yard and overpower the landscape. I'm wondering if the consensus here would be to remove them before they get too big and plant something else? I will take a picture tomorrow and upload it. When I mentioned to my husband that we might need to get rid of them in ten years the look I saw wasn't good. Feel like a bit of a dummy.
