NEW: Pedal Pushers: Summer Picnic at the Beach
Comments (140)Hiya Nikki, if you look at your photobucket album you will see the options on the top right side of the screen that says upload from "your computer, web url, cell phone or email", choose cell phone and then it will give you the email address to send your pictures straight from your cell to your photobucket account. I just did it for the first time the other day. They will send you a confirmation text message back to your cell. I don't know how to turn that part off though. I got a little annoyed at my phone buzzing every time I uploaded another pic! lol! Hey Karen, Mmmmmm, that cake and ice cream sound awesome! Chocolate cake and frosting are one of my favs! Especially the recipe on the back of the hersheys cocoa box! Yum! Happy Birthday to your hubby! I hope he got all he wished for. Nighters! Tracy...See MoreNEW: obf picnic basket swap
Comments (103)Carol, I am sorry but you are taking this too far. Please just move past the bitterness and lets all have fun, after all this is a social swap. Look up the meaning of social. We are all just here to enjoy each others fellowship and friendship. This has put a damper on everything concerning this group. Please just move on and enjoy this wonderful group like we are all doing. There are two GREAT swaps going on so lets just all do like Sue and put things past where they belong... in the past. Susie this swap is awesome, I love reading about all the awesome baskets!!! I wish I could be a fly on the wall when everyone receives their picnics, that would be sooo much fun!!! Pixie...See MoreStandby Recipes
Comments (7)What luck! I was doing a search for a blonde brownie recipe, and up popped this recent thread. I'll be making them tomorrow for a weekend picnic. My mother used to make a blonde brownie that must have had similar ingredients. Alas, she never wrote down the recipe. She called them Congo Bars, for some reason. This was during the 50's. Probably something from the Pillsbury Bakeoff booklet, her Bible. About standby recipes. For more than ten years I cooked and ate brown rice daily. It was the basis of our macrobiotic diet. I loved it. Now I cook it a few times a year, and half of it sits in the fridge until I have to throw it away. That would have been unheard of in my household 30 years ago....See MoreHappy Memorial Day!
Comments (7)I am retired, but for many years I was working in the floral trade, either as a retailer or wholesaler. I first got into it when I was in college, working part time for my aunt in the early 1960s. Even then she still called it Decoration Day. We were super busy during the days leading up to Decoration Day, it was a date that was fixed, not a 3-day weekend as it is now. A local woman grew peonies and we went through several hundred of them as we made simple bouquets for the cemetery. We had two drivers who did that chore; those two guys were also the ones who delivered "grave blankets" beginning in mid-November. Customers who bought one, generally ordered the other. Those guys knew where all the graves were that they needed to know, no stopping at the office to get directions. Times have changed a whole bunch and not many communities still decorate at the cemeteries as we did then....See Moremurraysmom Zone 6a OH
