I'm so glad that I decided to mulch heavy this year!
Comments (1)I know what you mean! I am cutting grass in the pine thicket & removing diseased pines. My son will use the small tree in a bonfire for graduation party. Well he is cutting most of the grass & we are mulching between the beds, about 4-6 inches deep. I have no rock, wish I had that problem, but the ground is softer with the dry & green clippings on it. When they dry out, I may compost them, but for now they are great weed control....See MoreI'm glad I sprayed Daconil yesterday.
Comments (2)...and I am glad I sprayed Serenade 3 days ago, just in time for our first summer Nor'easter. My Texas Cages are getting a workout with the steady wind. Nexy year I will stake them a bit. Everything is still standing but "what a test!" for my different staking methods, poles, angle iron, cheapy cages, iron and cross bars, as well as the Cages. Will be very interesting to see. Last year the blight hit in September. Lets keep our fingers crossed....See MoreGlad I'm better, sharing info on what I had!
Comments (16)On our Panama Canal cruise last year on a Celebrity ship, you could not walk into any dining area without sanitizing. There were machines at every door and if you walked past one, a porter would hold out a giant squirt bottle of the stuff. A serious Novovirus outbreak typically results in the ship being emptied, and the cruise cancelled or on hold while the ship is scrubbed top to bottom. Shigellosis is another outbreak that will clear an entire ship. Nasty stuff, I was deathly ill back in 1979 after a trip to Mexico City (a private land tour) where I picked up Shigella. I was hospitalized for a week and out of work for several months. Jodi-...See MoreI had a heck of a time finding this place....I'm so glad it isn't gone
Comments (16)I am here, too! I remember the glass "flowers" being a hot item when I checked in more often. There were many, many discussion on the best adhesive to use. I still have plates, cups, pieces of rebar, etc., "ready" to be made into a flower or two. This is hopefully this Spring will see the final stage of turning an early 1950s concrete birdbath into a colorful Fairy Garden. I got it sandblasted this winter but am waiting for warmer weather to take it outside for painting. I have all the basic furnishings - including a pair of tiny Napcoware rabbits, a teeny-tiny ceramic frog, a ceramic bird house that resembles an English cottage, a twig fence, a terracotta flower fairy, a pair of ceramic butterflies to attach to the painted base, and a "found" piece of old rusty barbed wire that resembles a seahorse - or dragon! I am going to be so excited to send "it's completed" photos to my young niece that requested this project be done."...See Moregvargo883_mst
