jar didn't seal - fish - still OK to eat?
Comments (2)Under 24 hours old, refrigerated ASAP, no rancid odor (catfish is very fatty and rancidity develops quickly), and assuming you will be cooking it before eating then I would consider it safe to eat. Straight out of the jar with no further cooking? I wouldn't. Dave...See MoreOK to use new lids that appear 'sealed' on new jars?
Comments (16)I use the lids too. No problems. It's irritating, to say the least, when it would be just as easy to flip the lids over the other way. The last box of half pints I bought had a ring that was bent enough that I ended up tossing it. I have plenty of rings, but when I do have to buy more jars, I usually have the opportunity to cull out a few older, maybe showing signs of rust, rings and replace them with the new ones. Not so when the new ones are bent. I wouldn't want a dent in brand new car, and I don't expect them in my rings. Cost shouldn't determine quality. I think the most frustrating part is that Ball seems like they don't care. That doesn't exactly scream "customer service" to me. Yeah, they'll send you some coupons for more of the same defective stuff, but not make the changes to solve the problem. And it's SO easy! Deanna (off my soapbox now...)...See MoreOK if fixed shower panel means have to step in to turn on?
Comments (5)I generally half step into my shower to turn it on. I usually just aim the shower head at the wall briefly until the water feels warm enough not to make me miserable. Mine isn't remodeled, but I suspect this will be about the same when I remodel....See MoreIs it ever ok to have a new wooden frame window in the shower??
Comments (11)If you plan on replacing the window every few years then it might work ... "water resistant paint" ... that made me laugh ... put that in writing and have your contractor sign and agree to all expenses to replace the rotten wood under that "water resistant paint". I'll bet he won't sign it!...See Moremc2016
