Best smudge-proof stainless steel?
Comments (5)theanimila, I really do like it. It's water only through the door, no ice, which is why it doesn't take up much room. The icemaker is inside the freezer drawer. My old Whirlpool fridge had the same cu ft, but for some reason this counter-depth fridge seems to hold so much more, maybe because it's wider and nothing gets lost in the back?...See Moreblack hardwood floors...how can i keep them clean?
Comments (7)Palinpset-Well, even barefoot it is bad. :( In fact, I think the oils on our feet smudge it worse than shoes. I like the idea of socks others mentioned, but of course it is just not practical all the time. carol-I have considered that it may be the cleaner, so I will try your suggestion. Thanks. nancy-I will also try your product, the Bona X. I have Bella Wood cleaner that the dude from Lumber Liquidators suggested to me. Not sure if that could be the problem, or if it just doesn't clean that well? I will try Bona X! nanny-glad to know I am not alone in this! Thing is, the hair doesn't bother me as much as those darn smudges!!!...See MoreMagnetic SS Refrigerator
Comments (12)I went through a fridge choice last year. A bit different but first I narrowed down those that fit. Then I looked at door style because that can be OK or totally annoying. Then I evaluated interior layout. And, of course, budget helped narrow down contenders. Once I found which would work the hard part started. I believe in going to see each one in person, which required some travel. I also photoed doors, interiors, everything when I went because I get overwhelmed in stores with multiples. After, when I got home I was able to go over the various features I liked/didn't. Then I researched by model number to see pros and cons out there. Every brand has raves & raspberries -- if a fridge is noisy, it will get mentioned. Ditto for poor service. I spoke to long time users on GW about various things. That is most helpful of all (also did that in the past with a range purchase). Then it's the one you feel best about. Wish there was an easier way. But I freely admit I'm guilty of over researching. But it's also a strategy for improving the odds on a purchase....See MoreIf you had to get them all from Lowe's....
Comments (8)We also bought some of our appliances through Lowe's (not all, because we found a couple they didn't carry elsewhere) mainly because they will price match any appliance (including online prices) and they can get many more models of appliances than they show in the store. For instance, we purchased our GE Induction slide-in through Lowe's, even though they don't carry it in the store. And the online price (from Amazon at the time) was significantly better than any local deal. And because I am paranoid about warranty issues, we bought Lowe's extended warranty for the appliances we purchased through them. It's my understanding that Lowe's warranty covers damages caused by power surges whereas not all extended warranties do. At least that's how I justified the purchase since our home is in an area prone to surges :)...See MoreStardust + Gravity
