My arugula has seeded itself a couple times over, and gives me more than I can use. Same deal with oregano - the seeds must blow in the wind because not only does it come back in the same place every year, but every year, I find it coming up through the cracks of all areas of my backyard brickwork, where only the tiniest amount of soil resides. I never much cared for the flavor of oregano, of which I had only ever had in its dried form, until I finally gave in and ate some fresh stuff from the yard. Now, when it's in season, I chop it up and eat it with whatever I possibly can.

If you plant seeds from a Flavor Grenade - they most likely won't be one of those.... That's an interspecies hybrid.... No telling what you will get.... There are some really old "Land race" varieties of self fertile fruit - that more or less come up reasonably true... assuming they came out of a fairly good sized block of the same trees... A good example of this is the Indian Cling peach.... But... Unfortunately, you just have a pretty darned good chance you won't get the *Same* as the parent... That's why folks graft or do vegetative propagation.... But.. Don't let that stop you from trying it out.... While it may not be identical - it may very well be worthwhile none-the-less... Thanks

Hi Karen, I have some pink poppies that I can trade and some no ID pink Cleome and Cleome "Rose Queen" which is rosey pink - both of which are self-seeding. I think I might have some others too, but I can check. I'll send you an email. Sue

There are actually several types of rudbekia (black eyed susan's botanical family name). Without a picture it would be hard to say exactly though.
