Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a fragrant hosta to me that looks very much like Stained Glass but has much thicker leaves? I have a problem with slugs & snails & I've tried everything. What works best is the thickest leaves I can find.

I love the light chartreuse center of SG that brightens up my shade garden & I think a dark edge is best for not burning in my hot climate. Medium size is what I need. I'm a fragrance addict & have read that the hostas that do best in a hot climate are the fragrant ones. I've read about Hossier's Harmony, Cathedral Windows & Holy Mole, but I'd really like one that looks just like SG with thick leaves & the same lavender (or darker purple) flowers.

And if it needs somewhat less light that SG that would be good, too, tho' I know the light-colored leaves usually need a good deal of light to achieve the light color. BTW I have June, but just like other posts say, June doesn't seem to like the heat & of course, June isn't fragrant. Any recs? Thanks!
