Please help! need inspiration for new mirror frames
Comments (3)Sorry, I looked in my bathroom album and don't have photos that could help. I don't think you'll need the mirrors to be as wide as the sink bases. I found a couple of matching mirrors at WalMart, of all places, for only $25.00 for our masterbath. I don't have picture of them up, but here's a picture of how they looked when I bought them and after I spray painted them with silver spray paint. The "after" is on the left. Have you looked for ready made framed mirrors? As for placement you'll want them at a height that works for both you and your hubby. Ours are 28 inches wide by 34 inches high. The sit just a little over an inch above the backsplash. Our vanity is 84 inches long with four banks of drawers. Two on either end and two sets in the middle. I hope this helps....See MoreNew here - Please help me with a farm sink/counter issue!
Comments (6)I'd also consider a drip rail. We did it to hide our shimmed up sink and love it! It's basically a bullnose that was nailed on after everything was installed. You could also consider using a drip rail made out of a strip of your counter material - this looks great too. Also, we have the negative reveal (you can see top of sink) and I LOVE it, much more than the positive reveal I used to have. It doesn't get "grimy and black" at all because you wipe it right down with the sink! To the contrary, the caulk on my positive reveal got a lot dirtier because I would forget to go peeking under there to scrub. It's harder for counter installers to cut an exact negative reveal, so if I were the suspicious type I might quietly suggest that's why they're pushing the overhang. ;-) here's my drip rail: negative reveal:...See MoreNeed a new sink
Comments (38)Butterscotch,,,you said you don't want to redo the countertop. Well, how to expect to redo the sink? You just want to cut a giant hole where the two are and find a sink to fit it? If you don't want to change anything else, then I guess that's all you've got. Hopefully you can get this sink that will fit your dimensions, and then find a really good fabricator would can do this with your current countertop. It will also take modification of the cabinets below the sink. don't know why the guy that did this in the first place didn't do one of these sinks. This one looks like it would fit your layout if they can't get the granite or cabinet to fit the dimensions, cutting out a huge chunk and doing this one is an option. Now this is a sink. all in all, I don't see this being a cheap date when it's all said and done. let us know if you get this to work....See MoreSinks and faucet suggestions needed.
Comments (3)Anyone have a suggestion for the faucets? If not fireclay what should I use. The family room has unfinished brass sconces, a simply coffered ceiling, the floor is tentatively brick, windows on 3 sides, 16X24, overlooking pool in park like setting....See More
