Garden Flower Pics!
I thought I'd share some photos of our front yard with you all. We had SO much rain this spring, and I think it's paid off in thriving perennials.
Our annuals are quite bright this year, too.
Here's one of our front path planters, which has gorgeous begonias that we found at Home Depot:
Our dog planter has gerbera daisies again this year:
We spruced up this walkway to the backyard about 2 years ago. It's inviting with a stone path, lost of hostas, azalea bushes, chrysanthemums and hydrangeas:
The clematis climbed up the mailbox in spectacular fashion this year:
Our large patch of black-eyed Susans are popping earlier than normal. We usually see them begin to peak around the 4th of July:
Finally, a couple of our second-floor window boxes. I'm so glad we splurged on these a few years back:
More flower, herbs and even an English garden later!

Comments (6)I would say that no.8, though beautiful, is not an Ipomaea unfortunately but a pernicious perennial weed, Calystegia sepium. The absolutely worst weed I have in my garden. Follow the stems down and you will find long white roots which will run for miles and break if you try to pull them. Every piece will regrow. Comments (14)Most are on their first year, Gil. My Garden Party didn't make it through the winter last season so I wasn't impressed since I bought it as a potted lily. I wanted to put Salmon Star with it. :( I started all of these from bulbs and they have done well. Perfect year for them and my older ones have tripled! 2 sets of bloom on my tiger lilies and they are over 40 years old! Comments (22)Sorie, I turned it all over by hand. Dug down to about ten to twelve inches deep. Had the soil tested. Mixed in my amendments - by hand - and pulled out all the Bermuda roots I could get. I keep after the Bermuda and focus on it a couple three times a year.
