I was in Alaska so many years ago, cameras were still in the Polaroid fad. Mendenhall was great, we canoed down the river. We saw lots of wildlife from that vantage point. I was never at Glacier Bay, but Hubbard Glacier is similar (I have heard). One of the interesting things is how cold it gets when you get close to the glacier. The cold air flows off the ice; not only is it cold - it is somewhat windy, too. I could be packed and ready to go back to Alaska in 15 minutes!

We have all kinds of lizards here, tiny ones and really big ones. Once a big one was on the top edge of the shed door which I didn't see. When I opened the door, it fell on top my head. You heard me scream 10 miles away. Size comparison, DH's hand and he has pretty big hands.

We do take Donna Pacer to cruises. She gets a lot of attention because Pacers are very rare, but remembered fondly by so many. We hear things like, wow I haven't seen one of them in years or my aunt had one of those, or I learned to drive in one. Or, they laugh and say, we called them fish bowls back then. On the highway we have even been flagged down by people who want to take pictures

Yes, Raven, sure are. The one at the window, I cut apart, and put a dowel rod in... to make it longer. :)
