Comments (2)Looks like the start of mildew to me. Are you able to keep the foliage dry while providing lots of direct sun? You can't give them too much sun....See MorePJM Rhodo leaves turning yellow/red
Comments (3)How much shade was this plant in previously? Full-on sun is not a very good location for most rhodies in a zone 6 climate, especially with what appears to be a large boulder behind that may be reflecting heat. While PJM is considered to be a more sun tolerant variety, I believe the recent move to a more exposed location is causing stress. I would like to tell you the plant will eventually acclimate to the new location but I just don't have that experience for your area. All you can do now - with the exception of moving it again, which I'm really not sure I advocate either - is to make sure it gets enough water during the heat of the summer. And you could consider rigging up some sort of temporary shade structure during the hottest part of the day....See MoreYellowing leaves on pomegranate
Comments (8)I look at the nursery plants here in San Diego now and nothing looks all that good and if you go in the morning before the help has a chance to clear all the bad leaves you won't believe your eyes what they are trying to pawn off on us. There are areas here where these trees may be 40' or more on the side of the road loaded with fruit and just like cactus I'm sure they are not gettin alot of care. We have a couple of Natal Plum fruits bushes that faced this odd winter and after 22 years also got yellow leaves but growing very well. I noticed recently that the main trunks had little bumps allover them so I added 3-1 Growers Choice fruit poison and a bit of liquid iron and they are doing very well. If your nursery hass a lot of poor looking trees you might need to take it back because we are getting some new bugs atleast in my fruit trees that I had never seen before....See MoreTwist and Shout leaves are turning purple yellow leaves inside.
Comments (0)I am new to gardening, but have a background in turf. I planted 3 twist and shout hydrangeas this spring and they are doing somewhat well, I just noticed that some on the leaves are fading to purple from the middle of the leaf to the end. It's not everywhere, just some here and there. I also noticed that this is happing on stems that are beginning to produce flowers. Also inside the plant some leaves are turning yellow-white (the vein also) and will fall off to the touch. This is happening to my Tardiva's and my limelight as well. Is this normal. I have noticed that jap beetles or some incsect have been chewing on the leaves last week, but I sprayed imidacloprid and cyfluthrin twice, 7 days apart. They get late morning sun to filterd evening sun. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance....See More- 7 years ago
